Adam "Sterling" Silver
On April 29, 2014, the newly minted NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had a tough situation on his hands. Donald Sterling, the former Clippers owner was caught making racist remarks against Magic Johnson, not wanting him to be near the games. Commissioner Silver took swift action and forced Sterling to sell the team and ban him from the NBA forever. To commemorate this moment of racial justice, we made a shirt that featured an Adam "Sterling" Silver chain on it. We drove down to LA from SF to sell it at Staples Center ahead of the last Clippers game and got kicked out and threatened with arrest. So we put this photo online and began a media tour. The work was featured on USA Today, Washington Post, Bleacher Report and many others.
